ArteVisione Focus: Hito Steyerl
On the occasion of ArteVisione Focus, Careof presents a special evening dedicated to Hito Steyerl: on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:30 PM, Anteo Palazzo del Cinema will host a conversation between Hito Steyerl and German Duarte, followed by the screening of "November" (25’, 2004) and "Lovely Andrea" (29’, 2007).

Hito Steyerl (Munich, 1966) is a German filmmaker, artist working in the field of moving images at the intersection of cinema and visual arts, and writer. Her main areas of interest are media, technology, and the circulation of images in the era of globalization. Steyerl holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She is currently Professor of New Media Art at the University of the Arts in Berlin, where she co-founded the Research Center for Proxy Politics together with Vera Tollmann and Boaz Levin. She represented Germany at the 56th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2015.
