Two new opportunities to view “Les Dissidentes” by Fatima Bianchi, a project supported by the Italian Council, produced by Careof in collaboration with Le Cube (Rabat) and La Société du Sensible, with the cultural partnership of Films Femmes Méditerranée (Marseille), KORA – Ramdom (Lecce) and Zeit (Cagliari).

The film has been selected to participate in the Proyector Festival in Madrid, together with 300 works of expanded cinema, video art, performance, and site-specific projects, presented in various venues across the city, including premieres and experimental projects from the international scene.

On September 21, 2025, “Les Dissidentes” will instead be presented inside the Church of the Holy Apostles in Orvieto, as part of the solo exhibition “Quando il sole sorge”. The short film imagines an island where three dissident mothers are punished for defying the norms imposed on motherhood. In a symbolic space of confinement, their inner voices emerge as a form of resistance to the social mandates that render fatigue, desire, and discontent invisible. Bianchi constructs a narrative that, through fiction, exposes realities deeply rooted in everyday life.
