6:30 PM Roundtable: Video Art Archives. A Tribute to Careof (1987–present)
The ongoing “digital” transformation of non-digital native audiovisual multimedia assets in Italy since the late 1990s has raised and continues to raise specific and interconnected issues concerning skills and knowledge, cultural, decision-making and management models, operational protocols and tools, the legal status of digital audiovisual assets, archiving, and accessibility.
8:30 PM Live Installation: “L’ascesa e la caduta” by Lino Strangis
This multimedia performance is based on the artist’s live interaction with an intermedial installation set up as a scenic space.

An evening dedicated to Careof, as part of the exhibition “Il video rende felici, video arte in Italia”: on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, the cloister garden of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Roma hosts “Omaggio a Careof (1987–present).” This event celebrates the 35th anniversary of our founding and is structured with a roundtable on video archives and a screening of our most recent productions.
