Coordinate ellittiche is a project by Careof that presents the work of young artists from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, identified by Bruno Muzzolini.

The exhibition emerges from a fertile ground of stimuli that has developed over the years around the Digital Video course led by artist and lecturer Bruno Muzzolini. The works on display reflect the dynamics that have taken shape in an environment of mutual exchange and ongoing critical engagement—an interaction that, in some cases, continues even years after graduation. Taken together, the exhibited video works outline a fluctuating, versatile horizon, one that is responsive to cross-disciplinary influences and that defines the possibilities of a rich and ever-evolving language.

The project unfolds in two phases:

#1. Opening Thursday, 13 September 2012 at 6:30 PM
with works by Luca Abate, Lucia Barbagallo, Luca Bolognesi, Arianna Ferrari, Francesco Fossati, Petrit Halilaj, KKS, Iva Kontic, Luca Lomonaco, Orestis Mavroudis, Marco Secondin, Emilia Skarnulyte, Fani Zguro.

#2. Opening Tuesday, 2 October 2012 at 6:30 PM
with works by Stefano Cozzi, Lucie Decker, Derek Maria Francesco Di Fabio, Alessandro Di Pietro (in collaboration with Andrea Zucchi), Stefano Etter, Bianca Fasiolo, Jessica Gaudino, Valentina Monti, Anna Mostosi, Marco Noris, Jessica Russo.

The viewing of the exhibited works is complemented by a series of mercoledì ellittici—cross-disciplinary in-depth discussions in which the artists themselves define the format and approach for presenting their research. These sessions, lasting about one hour, are open to the public and begin at 6:30 PM on the following dates: 19 September, 26 September, 10 October, 17 October.
