If you had to choose one object that reminds you of home, what would it be?
Careof hosts the photography exhibition “Moj Dom/Casa mia. Ritratti, oggetti e memorie a 30 anni dalla dissoluzione della Jugoslavia”: an invitation to reflect on what makes us feel at home through the stories of thirty-five objects, shared by those who gave or received hospitality in Italy during the wars of the dissolution of Yugoslavia between 1991 and 1995.
Photographer Marco Carmignan created video diptychs that place portraits of the individuals in dialogue with the objects they chose.
The objects were collected during four “collection days”, public events organized between 2023 and 2024 by Laboratorio Lapsus in collaboration with Codici, as part of the research project Moj Dom, funded by the European programme Cerv/Remembrance by EACEA.
A special event will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 5:00 PM, with the premiere screening of the documentary “La lunga vacanza” by Davor Marinković.
