Il progetto e la memoria

The attention paid to these domestic objects must certainly be traced back, starting from the 1970s, to the changed relationship between art and technology, and between technology and nature. This period witnesses, in a paradoxical time, the replication of images, the simulation of divergent paths that call for a radical shift in collective consciousness, thereby demanding new interpretations of our relationship with reality.
The extra-urban territory in which Careof operates is embedded within this delicate phase of radical transformations, and the proposal of a design exhibition necessarily becomes part of the complex reading of the culture-territory relationship—one that concerns the collective spaces of dwelling, privileged places of memory and disillusionment.
A new anthropological condition begins to emerge, one that sees in the relationship between nature and artificiality the realization of a time of perceptual utopias.
