Degli scambi
Works by Diego Sauro Bianchi, Dino Ferruzzi and Alessandro Traina
13.05 - 02.06.1990
To travel within our culture means to occupy land, to fill space, to know and appropriate reality. But once space is inhabited, it forces us into a fixed position. It is the end of journeys. The metaphor of the journey is the theme chosen by the three artists to install their works.
The sculptures of Ferruzzi and Traina and the canvases of Bianchi prompt an immediate reflection that leads toward a structural stability of forms. Where the only issue once seemed to be rigor, now lives the awareness of shifting frameworks, the impossibility of adhering to solid paradigms.
The artists thus draw attention not to an ordered or disordered space, but to the possibility of its “dislocation”—a reflection on shared edges, on folds, on fractures, on unforeseen passages.
