For years, Almeoni's work has moved toward giving form to the diversity and unpredictability of interpersonal relationships. The conception of his works can remain individual and autonomous or emerge from interaction and openness toward others. Piero Almeoni considers artistic work as a meeting point, the artwork as a space for privileged relationships, for confrontation and dialogue. For the artist, it is above all within a dialectical relationship with the other that one can discover and reveal oneself. “The gaze without prejudice rises to the height of the gaze of the other,” he writes.

More and more often, the artist has chosen to engage with collective situations, with public space, with the city, through temporary and often highly dialectical interventions. Yet he has not lost sight of the fact that “everything happens inside, joy as well as pain.” It is in the tension and interweaving of these two dimensions—the private and individual, and the collective and public—that Almeoni’s work is constructed.
