IN COLLABORATION WITH
MADA - Monash University Art Design & Architecture
From 24.09.2018 to 28.09.2018
From 24 to 28 september 2018 Careof hosts the group of Monash University di Melbourne - guided by A Constructed World - offering a workshop to deepen their own video archive which collects more than 8.000 titles and approaching students to some of the most interesting realities in the artistic milanese scene.
What is the meaning of an archive today? What are the possibilities to display and interact for contemporary artists?
Starting from a deepening on the history of the moving image, we led the students in a journey of discovery of our archive, underlining the prerequisites related to its birth and the problems due to its conservation and implementation.
The proposed challenge was to ask them to realize an artwork in three days that could dialogue with our video archive.
The in-depth study path has also guided some students in the study of some materials preserved in the Careof book archive too.
The workshop ended with an exhibition and a critic session with the artist Danilo Correale.
