Don’t change a winning team! After last year’s success, LA BOCCIOFILA returns to spread and promote what can be considered one of the most radical gestures of Milano Design Week 2025.

LA BOCCIOFILA recreates one of the most popular leisure and hangout spots of the past three generations, aiming to restore the authentic spirit that animates these recreational environments, too often overlooked and excluded from contemporary architectural design discourse.

Thus, Careof once again transforms into a space for play, where the public can test their sporting skills, relax, or simply hang out, just like in a classic “bar sport.”

Framing this moment of healthy (competitive) madness is an installation curated by AUT Design Collective, Studio GISTO, and Hypereden, featuring the projects Frantoio Sociale (Studio GISTO in collaboration with Hund Studio), Glass Future Lab (AUT Design Collective in collaboration with Elia Camboni and Pietro Coda), and Cantiere Aperto (Hypereden in collaboration with Frantoio Sociale).

A conversation starting from the film “Still Here” by Suranga Katugampala, to talk about displacement, constructions, stratifications, languages, dreams, and cities.

Thursday, April 10 – Tournament
7:00 PM
The second Careof bocce tournament, where design studios from around the world challenge the neighborhood. Join in!

Frantoio sociale

Inspired by cooperative practices in the wine and olive oil sectors, Frantoio Sociale aims to make demolition an activity accessible to all, transforming it into a social practice open to participation and sharing. Unlike the mass production model that often characterizes demolition operations, Frantoio Sociale is based on the idea of participatory and collaborative design, where everyone’s contribution matters and is valued.

Glass Future Lab

Glass Future Lab is a research project by AUT Design Collective that seeks to redefine the concept of uniqueness and “made-to-measure” in Murano glass production, establishing an open dialogue between the know-how of master glassmakers and the productive flexibility of digital fabrication.

Cantiere aperto

Cantiere Aperto promotes urban transformation as a collective and collaborative activity. This practice is carried out together with local communities and residents, using self-construction and the reuse of waste materials as a vehicle for dialogue, a sense of belonging, and environmental care.
