Il volume è edito da Juan Sandoval ed Emanuele De Donno e raccoglie i testi di Cecilia Guida, Silvia Simoncelli, Temporary Services (Brett Bloom, Marc Fischer).

Il libro I will work for you for one hour, but someone else should pay for it è un catalogo d'artista che documenta l'omonima mostra-progetto artistico avvenuta in un appartamento di Torino in concomitanza con la fiera d'arte contemporanea Artissima 2015.
Il volume è costituito da quattro sezioni primarie: lo scambio di “istruzioni” tra gli artisti per pensare-produrre-allestire le opere, i saggi che analizzano il progetto ma soprattutto il tema generale “lavoro e arte” e l'artista nella posizione di lavoratore, la mostra con le opere illustrate e l'appendice con immagini anastatiche di documenti storici dei “sindacalismi” artistici (Artists Union, Art Workers' Coalition etc). I testi, dunque, sono sia quelli originali dedicati alla mostra sia quelli estratti e selezionati da scritti “storici” critici che approfondiscono il tema del lavoro e del progetto sviluppato in rete nella pratica artistica contemporanea internazionale. “I will work” affronta un tema poco indagato nell'editoria attuale e costituisce sia un catalogo descrittivo di una mostra / operazione artistica sia un saggio autonomo e ben illustrato sul tema.

Lo start del progetto è una e-mail inviata da Juan Sandoval agli artisti invitati che recita: Dear Artist, next 5th of November during 2015 Artissima Art Fair in Turin I will open my apartment / studio to the public. I’m inviting thirteen artists to take part in the project “I will work for you for one hour, but someone else should pay for it” and I would like you to take part in it. The project consists in the realization of an artwork, created by you and realized by me. The realization of your work has to be done (by me) within one hour. I will realize your project myself, employing all the resources available in my studio. You are free to choose the medium or technique you prefer. I will invest a maximum of 10 euros in materials. All the artworks will be available for selling and their cost will be calculated on the basis of the cost of one hour of your time plus the cost of one hour of my time plus the cost of the materials. The total amount of the purchase of the artwork will be divided 50 - 50 %. Please, let me know if you would like to take part, and if you have questions.
