Careof is recognized as an entity of regional significance in the field of cultural educational promotion for the 2022/2024 triennium.
Registrations are now open to participate in ArteVisione 2024, the annual project by Careof launched in 2011 with the aim of supporting, producing, and promoting the most innovative research in the field of moving images, developed through a training program and the production of new video works.
The 2024 edition will feature visiting professor Saodat Ismailova, (Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 1981; lives and works between Paris and Tashkent), an artist and director whose practice speaks of individual and collective memory, working at the boundary between visual arts and cinema.
Participation is free and open to Italian artists or residents in Italy, who can apply with a single-channel video project, either unpublished or in the early stages of conception, without limitations of genre, language, or theme.
Five selected finalists will have the opportunity to participate in a 6-day workshop - from November 18 to November 23, 2024 - hosted by Careof, within the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, featuring lessons, collective seminars, and one-to-one meetings with internationally renowned artists and professionals in the audiovisual field. At the end of the workshop, the winning project will be awarded a gross prize of 8,000 euros to support its production.
