ArteVisione 2016
In the 2016 edition, ArteVisione presents some significant novelties, aimed to offer a chance for professional growth to an ever-larger number of artists. Alongside the contest there is ArteVisione LAB, a workshop offered to the 10 finalists with experts in the audiovisual and cinematographic fields and the artist Adrian Paci as visiting professor, facing the critical analysis and the review of the presented projects.
The theme of the year focuses on the role of technology as an individual transformation factor, just as of the entire society. The ten finalists participating to the workshop are Aves Project, The Cool Couple, Irene Dionisio, Elisabetta Falanga, Roberto Fassone, Gaia Formenti, Valentina Furian, Riccardo Giacconi, Martina Rosa, Caterina Erica Shanta.
The 2016 edition includes the institutional partnership of Museo del Novecento, which will host the winning work of the 2016 edition during the “Dodicesima Giornata del Contemporaneo”, on 15th October 2016.

Riccardo Giacconi - "Lo Scherzo"
Synopsis
“Lo scherzo” is a portrait of the singer-songwriter Alberto Camerini, a well-known Italian pop interpreter at the beginning of the 1980s. Through a series of conversations and an editing of unpublished archive materials, Giacconi evokes some passages of Camerini’s career, exploring the personal and political roots of a style that crosses pop, punk, folk and electronic. It is also inspired on the one hand by the Art Comedy and the figure of Giambattista Tiepolo, and on the other by technological innovations and the beginnings of computer science.

PUBLIC PROGRAMME: LUCA TREVISANI – “IL CERCHIO”
In collaboration with Museo del Novecento, Sky Italia and Careof present “Il Cerchio” by Luca Trevisani, winner of ArteVisione 2015, a project supporting young artists.
The exhibition is open to the public from the 12th to the 21st of February 2016 in the wonderful setting of Fontana Hall in Museo del Novecento. It is curated by Chiara Agnello, curator of ArteVisione, and Iolanda Ratti, curator of Museo del Novecento.
Following the theme of the 2015 call for entries – inspired by the year dedicated to light – Luca Trevisani directed a film honouring the modernist architecture of Villa Girasole, in the province of Verona, and its special connection with the sun. From here, Trevisani presents a deep research on the human condition and the dialogic and specular relation between light and time, through the collaboration with the choreographer Michele di Stefano, winner of the Silver Lion at Venice Dance Biennale in 2014.
“Il Cerchio” – produced by Careof and Sky in collaboration with 999 Films and Filmmaster – will be premiered on Sky Arte HD coming soon on channels 120 and 400 on Sky.
