ArteVisione Focus 2022 pushes the boundaries of the project and narrows the field simultaneously.
Considering the period we are living due to the pandemic, with AVfocus Careof tries to redefine the role, the possibilities, and the symbolic value, not just the economic one, of our job. We are professionals who investigate the pivotal idiosyncrasies of the contemporary man through the moving image and using the exchange, opening and horizontal-dialogue method.
We privilege in-person procedure, allowing bodies and individualities to merge into collective magma. We discuss the development, production, and exposition mode of the moving image but also of the training possibilities.
The finalists of ArteVisione 2022 are: Sofia Braga, Teresa Cos, Jacopo Rinaldi, Rebecca Moccia, IOCOSE.

On the occasion of ArteVisione Focus, Careof presents a special event dedicated to Hito Steyerl: September 30th 2022, at 9.30 p.m. Anteo Palazzo del Cinema hosts a lecture between Hito Steyerl and German Duarte, followed by the screening of “November” (25’, 2004) and "Lovely Andrea" (29’, 2007).
Free entrance subject to availability, reservations are required via eventbrite.
The event is in collaboration with Ariella Vidach – AiEP in the matter of the Common Cloud project.

Departing from an exploration of the Ministry of Loneliness - established in 2018 in the United Kingdom and replicated in 2021 in other countries such as Canada and Japan - Rebecca Moccia’s work develops a reflection on the political and social structures that shape the emotional state of loneliness and its perception in contemporary society.
The work stems from an extensive research that the artist has carried out in different contexts including Italy, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The phantasmal and pervasive shadow of isolation that permeates Western societies takes shape in the film's stratified investigation, extending to include the roots that trigger it – from the advance of the techno-scientific order of modern life to the rise of liberal capitalism.
Ministries of Loneliness is a three-channel video installation and a non-fiction single-channel film, produced by Careof with Fondazione ICA Milano, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture (Italian Council X) and Outset Partners.
